Bitdeer Soars to Top-5 Miners: Hashrate Surged to 35 EH/s
Key Achievements
The Bitdeer Technologies Group announced a significant increase in its bitcoin self-mining hashrate. In September 2025, the figure increased to 35 EH/s, allowing the firm to surpass Riot Platforms and enter the top five largest public bitcoin miners. This progress was driven by the deployment of an additional 5 EH/s SEALMINER installations, which led to a 20.5% increase in production — from 375 BTC in August to 452 BTC in September.
Taking into account network difficulty changes, the realized hashrate increased from 24.64 EH/s to 32.74 EH/s, demonstrating a 32.9% increase. Among public miners, Bitdeer now trails only Marathon Digital, Iris Energy, CleanSpark, and Core Scientific.
Growth Factors
The increase in hashrate is attributed to the ongoing implementation of its own SEALMINER installations and the completion of power supply at new facilities in Tydal (Norway) and Jigmelang (Bhutan). To date, 34.2 EH/s of SEALMINER A2 have been produced, of which 22.6 EH/s have been deployed, and 5.5 EH/s are in process. In September, the A3 series was launched, with mass production starting in October.
Additionally, Bitdeer completed the first phase of testing the SEAL04 chip, showing an efficiency of less than 10 J/Th, which is getting closer to the goal of 5 J/Th for the next generation of equipment.
Outlook and Market Context
The company maintains its goal to reach 40 EH/s by the end of October 2025, after which it plans to decommission outdated equipment to improve efficiency. This occurs amid the recovery of public miners' stocks after market volatility, with bitcoin's exchange rate stabilizing.
Analysts note that such steps strengthen Bitdeer's position in a competitive industry where efficiency and scaling play key roles in the face of increasing mining difficulty.
